Official Doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: the Standard Works (without any emphasis I add) quotes from general authorities, apostles and prophets in General Conference, or anything with the seal of the First Presidency on it. My blog is my interpretation of things- if it does not inspire, enlighten and uplift, then do not count it as doctrine. I am human, and I do not have a perfect knowledge of things.
The Plan of Salvation
Alright, so this is a quick diagram of the Plan of Salvation. It starts out with life before we came to this Earth. When we came to this Earth a veil of sorts was placed over our minds so we don't remember life before. Then we all, I hope, can understand what Earth Life is. For any who may be wondering, it is the life you are living now, while you are able to check this blog. Last I checked my audience doesn't know how to reach those who haven't come here yet or who have passed on to the next phase. Death is what happens, sooner or later, to all mortals, and from there our Spirits go to a Spirit World to await Resurrection and Judgement. From there, there are three kingdoms of Heaven, three degrees of glory, to which we are "assigned" to go to for the rest of eternity.
Briefly the Plan of Salvation is a plan that shows us what the importance of life here and now is. Why we came here, and what our purpose is. It helps give our lives meaning and direction. It shows of God's love for us, and how Salvation is made possible. Another name for this Plan is the Plan of Happiness, named such because it is a plan for our happiness. The following posts will go more into detail about each of the following stages to try and make it as clear as possible.
